I’m super excited to share with you that in late May I will be fully certified and licensed as an EMDR specialist. This is an extra skill set I’m adding to my Psychodynamic and Family Systems approaches in therapy. EMDR (Eye Movement and Reprocessing Therapy) focuses on unhealed traumas, negative memories and experiences on any level. It’s a science, neuroscience and neurofeedback proven approach to reprocessing thoughts, feelings and experiences in a quicker manner than traditional therapies. If we’ve ever talked about or diagnosed you with anxiety, depression, OCD (or obsessive compulsive thought disorders), General Anxiety Disorder, PTSD, or Bipolar Disorder, or if you feel you suffer from any of these disorders or symptoms of these disorders, this is a new technique we can try to help resolve any residual symptoms.
