🌿 We’re Evolving! 🌿
We’re proud to announce that the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) is becoming the National Certification Board for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (NCBAHM).
This new name more clearly reflects the disciplines we certify and supports efforts to align with respectful, inclusive language across healthcare and regulatory settings.

In response to the July 4th floods in central Texas, AWB & Texas 5NP will offer ongoing clinics Thursday through Sunday for the next three weeks at American Legion Post 208 in Kerrville. Please share with anyone who may need support.
In addition to being a space where we hold clinics, American Legion Post 208 is a vital distribution site for those in need provided in collaboration with American CORE. We thank Commander Garcia for allowing us to hold clinics where so many people come to receive services. We also continue to look for long term clinic spaces for this work.

TAAOM is the voice of the Licensed Acupuncturist in Texas. We are a community of colleagues, mentors, and friends dedicated to promoting and protecting the practice of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
The Texas Acupuncture Association (TAA) was founded in 1989 before the practice of acupuncture was legal in the State of Texas. It was through the efforts of the association that acupuncture became legal and professionally licensed in Texas in 1993. In 2000, TAA reorganized as the Texas Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (TAAOM) in order to better represent all facets of the profession. Today it is the largest professional organization of licensed acupuncturists and practitioners of Oriental medicine in Texas.
The mission of TAAOM is to protect and promote the practice of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Texas by:
Understanding and addressing the concerns of Licensed Acupuncturists and the communities they serve
Promoting high standards of education and patient care
Providing a unified voice to the profession
Membership
Membership is open to all acupuncturists licensed by the Texas State Board of Acupuncture Examiners (TSBAE) as well as students currently enrolled in a masters level acupuncture program.
