The Stephen Cripe Foundation was formed to help individuals recovering from addiction who are completley indigent coming out of treatment to get into a (Oxford House) in Dallas, TX. Many individuals coming out of rehabilitative treatment centers for drug and/or alcohol addiction do not have an immediate means of providing for their necessities of life and are prone to addiction relapse. The Stephen Cripe Foundation helps individuals who are leaving rehabilitation centers and have been accepted into a sober living house by providing up to the first two (2) weeks of rent for their placement at a sober living home. Providing individuals with the initial rent for a sober living home helps prevent relapse as well as helps prevent the individual from needing public assistance.
