Let's talk about Winter Safety!
Mainstreet's Physical Therapist Kevin was kind enough to put together a safety talk for us. Kevin made sure we were left with great tips
When you're outside:
-Use an assistive device - they make Ice tips for canes that you can use outdoors and cover with a Rubber Cap when you're indoors
-Consider Nonslip footwear like Yaktrax
-Stick to well Light Areas
- Avoid distractions: Keep the texts and Phone calls for after you're inside
-Consider the Buddy System
- Wait until there's Salt, Sand, or Ice Melt before going out
