What have repeated injuries taught you?
Today we’re sharing ACTIV physical therapist Alesha’s strength journey! Find out below what her repeated injuries taught her, and how it changed the trajectory of her career!
✨✨✨✨✨
“From college track to the treatment table—and now to motherhood, coaching, and rediscovering my stride 💪🏃♀️👶
I started as a competitive runner, chasing PRs and living for the long run. But repeated injuries forced me to slow down and rethink how I trained. That’s when I found strength training—not just to recover, but to rebuild stronger, inside and out.
That shift didn’t just change my body—it changed my career. I became a licensed physical therapist to help others avoid the setbacks I faced and move through pain with purpose. Now, I get to combine my love for movement, recovery, and education every day.
I’m still a runner, just a smarter one—and now a coach too, guiding others toward strength and longevity in their training. And most recently, I became a mom. Postpartum recovery has brought a whole new layer to this journey. It’s no longer just about performance—it’s about energy, healing, and showing up fully for my baby and for myself.
This journey is about so much more than fitness. It’s about resilience, adaptability, and learning to honor your body through every season. From athlete to PT to coach to mom—I’m still running, just with a deeper purpose. 💥”
