Please welcome Elliot Backer, PA-C to Southwest Dermatology Specialists!

Elliot has over 3 years of experience specializing in general and surgical dermatology with a special interest in skin cancer treatment and performing surgical excisions. Elliot earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. He earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Elliot also completed further dermatology training through the SDPA diplomate fellowship program in 2018.

Elliot grew up in New Ulm, MN and has strong family roots in the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota area. Elliot lives in Plymouth with his wife and daughter. Outside of the office, Elliot enjoys quality time with family and friends. He also enjoys staying busy with social events and getting out in the community.

Elliot is thrilled to have the opportunity to join an innovative practice that allows him to care for patients in a community he loves. He prides himself on his ability to connect with patients and build long term patient relationships. Elliot strives to practice the most up to date evidence based medicine to provide top notch dermatological care.
