For many people with disabilities, home is where independence begins.
Since 2000, Lifeworks has helped thousands of Minnesotans self-direct their in-home services so they can continue to live in their own homes and communities.
Our team partners closely with families and case managers to handle employer-related responsibilities, financial tasks, and budget management. We take on the complexities so you don't have to.

Inclusive communities start with everyday interactions.
On March 19, Lifeworks Disability Initiatives Consultant Lisa Jemtrud will lead Accessible Customer Service, a practical virtual webinar designed to help organizations create welcoming experiences for people with disabilities.
Participants will learn simple, real-world strategies to strengthen customer service and ensure everyone feels respected and supported.
Sometimes the hardest part of disability services is knowing where to begin.
Our Free Navigation Sessions are a simple first step. In a 30-minute phone conversation, you’ll connect with a Lifeworks Navigator who listens, answers questions, and helps you make sense of your options.
Whether you’re exploring services for the first time, navigating a transition, or just feeling stuck, you don’t have to figure it out alone. We’re here to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
In honor of Black History Month, we're recognizing Brad Lomax, a Black disability advocate who helped move us closer to a world where disability inclusion is the standard - not the exception.
Brad Lomax was a civil rights and disability rights activist, a wheelchair user living with multiple sclerosis, and a member of the Black Panther Party whose leadership during the 1977 504 Sit-ins helped connect racial justice and disability justice movements. He believed disability rights were civil rights and that people with disabilities deserved access, dignity, and full participation in community life.
At Lifeworks, we carry on Brad’s legacy by advancing disability inclusion, building equitable pathways to opportunity, and supporting people with disabilities to live full, self-directed lives in their communities with dignity, access, and belonging.
You can learn more about Brad Lomax and his impact by watching this PBS video. We encourage you to watch, share his story, and consider how you can advance disability inclusion in your own community: https://to.pbs.org/47d047T
