Congratulations to our Athlete Spotlight, Cayley Carter!
Here's why Cayley's coaches believe she is deserving of the recognition:

“Cayley is picking up right where she left off last track season with pole vault. She placed 3rd at the indoor meet at UW-LaCrosse with a vault of 8'6". After only a few days of being able to actually practice pole vault (thanks, Mother Nature) she was able to compete again at the UW-Platteville indoor meet where she placed 2nd with a vault of 9'6"! She now holds the school's indoor pole vault record. Next year, Cayley will be attending UW-Platteville and competing on their Track & Field team.

Not only is Cayley dedicated to always continuing to better herself in pole vault, she is also a great senior leader for our team."

It means so much when our community nominates nurses for a DAISY Award. It's such a simple way to let them know how much they mean to us. Each nominee, like Beth Delagrave here, receives a DAISY pin to wear in recognition, and as a reminder that their care truly matters.

"Beth was my main day nurse. She got me through my long stay," read her nomination. This patient really summed up Beth best when she wrote, "She was born for this job." We couldn't agree more!

THIS SATURDAY, from 10 AM to NOON, enjoy our FREE Teddy Bear Clinic for Kids at The Richland Hospital and Clinics!

Hosted in partnership with Brewer Library, kids and their favorite fuzzy friend are invited to this fun, interactive event. Check in at the front desk, choose your profession for the day (doctor, nurse, radiologist...) and head downstairs. Free adorable teddy bears while supplies last. We'll start things off with a story, then visit each exam room where your bear will have a complete checkup. All kids must be accompanied by an adult. See you Saturday!

Our FREE Teddy Bear Clinic is happening in JUST ONE WEEK!

Going to the doctor can feel scary, especially for kids. That’s why the Teddy Bear Clinic is back Saturday, May 30th at The Richland Hospital and Clinics. Kids can bring a favorite stuffed animal, or get one there while supplies last. We’ll give their fuzzy friend a gentle checkup. It’s a fun way to show that doctors, nurses, and hospitals are here to help. Hosted with Brewer Library. No appointment needed, just sign in at the front desk. Kids must be accompanied by an adult.

Congratulations to our Athlete Spotlight, Ethan Kagel!

Here's why Ethan's coaches believe he is deserving of the recognition:
“Ethan Kagel has brought strong leadership and energy to the Riverdale Baseball program. In the season opener against Cashton, he struck out 11 batters in just four innings, allowing only two hits and no runs to earn the win. He also contributed offensively, going 2-for-2 at the plate and scoring two runs.

Ethan provides positive leadership to a very young team. We have great respect for him and high expectations for what he and the team will accomplish this season.”

Shout-out to the team at Senior Life Solutions who hosted an incredible open house for our employees. Located on the lower level of The Richland Hospital, the group provides therapy services for people ages 65 and up. The space holds group and individual behavioral therapy rooms where conversations are stimulated through things like art and activities. We followed the green footsteps around the space, where everyone left smiling. "You don't know how much you need these encouraging words until you spend time with them," one visitor mentioned.

It means so much when our community nominates nurses for a DAISY Award. It's such a simple way to let them know how much they mean to us. Each nominee, like Maria Riley here, receives a DAISY pin to wear in recognition, and as a reminder that their care truly matters.

Maria received two nominations, both noting her professional and understanding bedside manner. "Having her by my side during my emergency was assuring during an unsure time," one patient mentioned. That kind of care is what she does best.
