This monument from the 1800s was carefully cleaned using conservation-safe methods — not to make it look new, but to preserve what remains.

Well… isn’t this an interesting find!?! This newspaper article is from 1915… I wonder who this man was… and how long the $500,000 really lasted? Is the stone is still being cleaned every year?!?! 😂 we need to know these things!!! Does anyone from the Boston area knows of this?
