Tetracycline Discoloration

This tooth shows typical tetracycline staining. The patient’s mom took tetracycline while she was pregnant, which can cause the developing teeth to absorb the medication. That leads to deep, dark discoloration like this — often gray, brown, or even black. It’s not just surface staining; it’s actually built into the tooth. 🦷
