✨ Today’s weekly social hour was extra special! 🍷

We welcomed the “Butterfly Lady of Richmond Hill” 🦋 for a beautiful butterfly release. Residents got to see the full transformation from tiny caterpillars, to chrysalises, to fully grown butterflies. We even got to take part in releasing them into the garden. 🌿💛

It was such a joyful and heartwarming experience! Thank you for everything Suzanne!

September is Healthy Aging Month.

Healthy aging starts with what we put on our plates and how we feed our minds. Eating a colorful variety of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains provides the nutrients our bodies need to thrive. Don't forget to stay hydrated and consider foods rich in omega-3s like salmon and walnuts for brain health. Pair good nutrition with lifelong learning – whether it's reading, puzzles, or picking up a new hobby – to keep your mind sharp and engaged.

Senior Living Q&A…

Q: What questions should I ask during a senior living tour?

A: You want to ask questions about:
Day-to-day living such as: What time are the meals served? What types of activities are available? May I see a menu? Can my parents make their own choices about things?

Resident Care such as: How do you determine the number of staff members you schedule? How often do you assess the residents for care needs? How do you ensure that everything my parents require is provided? How do you handle medical emergencies?

Company policies such as: What are the move-out policies? How do you communicate with families?
Speak with current residents and their families to see how they like living there.

If you would like a complete list of questions to ask as you look into senior living, or would like to schedule a tour of Station Exchange, please give us a call at 912-445-2425. Station Exchange Senior Care in Richmond Hill, Georgia offers Residential Personal Care and Memory Care services.
