Merry Christmas from us!!
Since I’m not the best at Christmas cards, a little Nix family update:
Gracie is in her third semester at UGA! Thanks to such a head start with AP courses she could have graduated this time next year. Instead, she’s decided to double major in Political Science and History with a minor in Law, giving her more time to study for the LSAT. She was elected as Madam Vice President of the Demothisnioan Literary Society perfecting her craft of debate and public speaking, while continuing to demonstrate her natural leadership skills.
Mary is already halfway through her Senior year of High School while also working almost a full time schedule at the gym. She signed herself up to volunteer at the Station Exchange Nursing Home, every Friday Chitter Chatter time with Mary is on their social calendar and she loves what she calls her new old friends. On top of all that she crushed two half marathons this year in prep for her first marathon next month, 26 in 26! She will start next Fall at Georgia Southern University where she plans to attend Nursing School.
TJ finished his first semester of Homeschool and has his first paying job thanks to the flexibility of it (which he loves). At first his school work was more challenging, the expectations higher than what he was used to, were happy to say that is becoming the new normal making homeschool all together more enjoyable. Him and Tim have an excellent routine and make a great teacher student duo. He also attends a teen lifting class twice a week learning to master his knowledge of the gym, and to keep up with his strong sisters. He’s also offically the second tallest family member! 🥹
Tim and I are still on the honeymoon phase of Army retirement, both loving the work life balance we have in our perspective roles all the while continuing the blessing of building our dreams, with the gift of time and physical presence to not miss a minute of it! 🤍
As any Army family would say, we’ve always known the blessing of together is what means the most, we’re especially grateful to have everyone under one roof and a house full this Christmas!
