Meet Jonesy, the majestic feline daughter of the marvelous team WHOA therapist Mason! Jonesy is the fluffiest companion who can always be relied on to be in the right place at the right time.

Cats are not only cute, cuddly, and fierce, but they offer true stress reduction. Petting a cat can lower cortisol (the stress hormone) and increase oxytocin (the “bonding” hormone). Their rhythmic purring can also have a calming effect—some call it “purr therapy.”

Studies also show that pet owners, including cat owners, tend to have lower blood pressure and a reduced risk of heart disease—likely linked to the calming effects of pet interaction.

WHOA RVA is excited to announce the grand opening of our wellness center! We have amazing new offerings to support your wellness journey including massage and acupuncture.

WHOA is so excited to be offering these services to the community as well as our present clients. One way our wellness center stands out is our Pay It Forward program. Gratuity from your service will be utilized to support clients who may not be able to afford these services out of pocket. This is a great way to engage in self care and community spirit!
