You can do hours of cardio, and lift all the weights, but if your eating habits and nutrition aren't dialed in, you're doing all that for nothing.
Work with HBW dietitians to establish good eating habits (and no, you don't have to obsessively count calories, stress over every bite of food, or change your entire way of eating. Nor do you have to eliminate comfort foods or sacrifice all your favorite meals.)
Here are some of our top tips to start you on the path to obtaining that lean, strong and tone physique you desire:
1) Eat more (often), not less. Don't skip meals. Skipping meals = a higher hunger level going into the next meals and therefore the high chanced of eating too fats, and overeating.
2) Focus on leans (lean protein) and greens (veggie-heavy). Protein fuels muscle, muscle fuels metabolism. Greens are full of fiber; high fiber intake can help limit sugar and fat absorption into your body. This, in turn, can reduce the calories the body absorbs.
3) Avoid packaged, processed, prepared foods (These foods cause inflammation and weight gain. The salt, sugar, and fat become addictive, yet cannot offer satiety.)
