**F*ck Assumptions 🚫🧠**

Assumptions are like putting on rose-colored glasses. They blur reality with expectations, half-truths, and stories we tell ourselves. Why? Because it’s easier than facing uncertainty or questioning deeply held beliefs. But here's the thing: assumptions are just mental shortcuts—they aren't facts.

So, next time you catch yourself assuming, stop. Don’t assume, *just ask*. 🗣️

When we question assumptions, we’re forced to confront whether they’re facts or opinions, whether they align with our values, or are just ways to protect our comfort zone. You might even realize that something you thought was a value is actually just a need.

For those of us with ADHD, cognitive biases and assumptions are even trickier—our brains *love* a good story to stay engaged! But those stories cloud our judgment. It’s time to take off the rose-colored glasses and challenge our thinking. 🌫️

Let’s stop letting assumptions run the show and start embracing the clarity that comes from asking the hard questions. 💡

🌍✨ Time to discuss ableist language! Phrases like "falling on deaf ears" and calling things "dumb" can perpetuate harmful stereotypes about disability.

These expressions hurt disabled individuals and contribute to a culture of separation and marginalization. Often, we use them without realizing, influenced by societal views that see disability as inferior.

With around 1 billion people worldwide living with some form of disability, it’s crucial to be mindful of our words. 💬 Let’s swap out ableist terms for more accurate language and engage in meaningful conversations with disabled individuals to promote understanding and inclusivity. Together, we can make a change!

Is ADHD making you appear like an awful person? Maybe! ADHD can affect self-awareness, impulsivity, forgetfulness, and emotional regulation, but these traits don’t define us as people. 🤔✨

**Self-Awareness**: It can be hard to see how our actions impact others. We may interrupt or forget plans unintentionally, and recognizing these patterns is key to growth. 🌱

**Impulsivity**: Speaking or acting without thinking isn't personal; it’s part of ADHD. With practice, we can improve how we communicate. 🧠💬

**Forgetfulness**: Forgetting important dates or tasks doesn’t mean we don’t care—it's a symptom of ADHD. Patience and tools can help! 📅❤️

**Emotional Dysregulation**: Mood swings can lead to misunderstandings, but we’re working on emotional regulation with compassion and time. 🌪️💔

Let’s foster understanding, not stigma.

🚨 Ultra-Processed Foods & ADHD 🚨

Did you know over half of the average American’s daily calories come from ultra-processed foods? 😳 Studies show eating a lot of these foods can increase depression risk by 20-50% and worsen anxiety—both of which impact ADHD symptoms.

ADHD brains need steady energy & nutrients, but ultra-processed foods can cause crashes, inflammation, and gut imbalances. Try the “Kitchen Test”—if you wouldn’t find an ingredient in your own kitchen, it’s probably ultra-processed!

✨ Small swaps = big impact! What’s your go-to ADHD-friendly snack? 🍎🥑👇

Is ADHD a difference or a disability? 🤔

It’s not a simple answer—*disabled* is a complex identity, and everyone’s relationship with it is personal. While celebrating neurodivergent strengths is important, we can’t ignore the challenges ADHD brings.

How do we honor both the joy *and* the struggle? Where’s the line between celebration and toxic positivity?

Let’s talk about it.

💭 **Memory 101: Did you know your brain has different types of memory, each handled by specific regions?**

- **Sensory Memory**: Briefly captures sights, sounds, and touch.
- **Short-Term Memory**: Holds info for a few seconds (like remembering a phone number).
- **Long-Term Memory**: Stores facts, skills, and personal experiences.
- **Emotional Memory**: Makes vivid memories tied to strong feelings.
- **Prospective Memory**: Helps you remember future tasks.

🧠 Key players include the **hippocampus** (for long-term storage), **prefrontal cortex** (for focus and planning), and **amygdala** (for emotional memories).

Memory is teamwork in action! Which type of memory fascinates you the most? 💡
