Where do we go from here?

It’s hard to see the path ahead in the face of such devastating news.

What the Supreme Court did today was unfair, amoral, and discriminatory. We aren’t legal scholars—but we are medical experts. And we can say without hesitation: the justification for these care bans is based on junk science and straight-up lies.

Every major medical organization supports gender-affirming care. The evidence is overwhelming. The truth is simple:

The care we provide lets kids be kids.
It lets parents worry about math homework instead of life expectancy.
It gives teens the space they need to thrive.

That’s why Seven Hills will press on—with moral clarity, medical integrity, and fierce love for our community.

We’re proud to offer gender-affirming care to kids from Virginia and beyond. With support from partners like the Campaign for Southern Equality, we’ve been able to care for teens from as far away as Louisiana and Florida.

🕒 Position Details:

Role: Front Desk Associate

Type: Part-Time

Location: Seven Hills Family Medicine

Schedule: 20-25 hours per week

Rate: $20/hr

✨ What You’ll Do:

As the first point of contact for our patients, you’ll play a crucial role in creating a warm and welcoming environment. Responsibilities include:

- Greeting and checking in patients

- Scheduling appointments and managing calendars

- Answering phones and assisting with inquiries

- Prepares invoices with accuracy and collects payments

- Supporting the clinical team with daily administrative tasks

1. Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills

PSA: your refills should still be on file.

We’ve received A LOT of calls and emails today from concerned caregivers after the closure of VCU, UVA and DC Children’s pediatric gender affirming care programs.

One of the most immediate concerns is access to medication during the transfer of care to a new provider.

We just wanted to remind everyone that if you have refills on file at a retail pharmacy from your previous provider those should still be available. Check the label on your prescription bottles and it will indicate how many refills are left.

Knowing how many refills you have left will be extremely important for providers to best triage the new appointment schedule.
