Katy (she/her) is a new Resident in Counseling at our Richmond office, and is available virtually! 🪩
She works with individuals 18+ navigating a wide range of experiences, including trauma, emotional overwhelm, identity development, relational patterns, and major life transitions.
Katy holds a strong background in substance use and recovery work, informed by lived experience and her role as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist.
Her clinical approach is integrative, grounded in relational and person-centered frameworks, along with a body-aware perspective that considers the connection between lived experience and our nervous systems. She also incorporates experiential and creative approaches, such as gentle movement, imagery, or metaphor.
“I’m drawn to contemplative and metaphysical traditions such as astrology and Reiki as part of my ongoing process of reflection, curiosity, and grounding. If I’m not in a dance studio or therapy room, I’m probably outside with my feet in the dirt, or on the couch snuggling with my two cats Bo**er and Nelly.”
