Good question. Ever since I can remember, I've wanted to help people. For the last 15 years, I worked with at-risk youth in the area of mental health. For the last 5 of that, I worked primarily with Deaf and hard of hearing youth, teaching myself ASL so that I could communicate with them. When I moved to Virginia, I decided to focus my efforts on individual youth, so I am currently a nanny. When the opportunity to become a doula came along, I jumped at the chance, because it's something I've wanted to do since I was 10 years old. As a doula, I advocate for you, helping your voice to be heard. I provide you with evidence-based information about your various options, so that you can make the most informed and beneficial decision for yourself and your baby. I also plan to continue gaining knowledge and certification in various, because I believe that care should be holistic and well-rounded as you navigate the physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, social, and financial implications of bringing a new life into the world. I believe that everyone deserves support and representation, especially people who have traditionally been marginalized, including teen, at-risk, BIPOC, LGBTQ, Deaf/hard of hearing, and other such under-represented populations.

Hello all! I am Soulistic Doula , and I am a one-of-a-kind doula!

I will embrace the journey of parenthood with you every step of the way. I will educate you on your rights, provide evidence-based information, be a listening ear, and ensure you feel supported every step of the way. I approach everything with love and grace, creating space for you to feel safe and heard.

I offer all my mothers a spiritual bath designed to release anxieties and help you connect with your body as it carries your baby, followed by a light massage to further calm and soothe. I'm not your typical doula who meets with you twice and just shows up at the birth (unless thats your request!). I want to connect with you and ensure you know who I am before such an intimate experience. If you're looking for a doula who operates in grace, love, and light, you’ve found me!

Embarking on the Ms. Full-Figured Virginia Pageant with a heart full of purpose! 🌺 My chosen platform: Maternal Health Disparities for Black women. In the spirit of this cause, I'm offering FREE Doula services to an expecting individual, including:

- (2) 1-hour prenatal home visits 🤰
- (2) 1-hour postpartum visits 🍼
- (4) 30-minute check-in calls ☎️
- Assistance with entire labor and delivery process, including emotional support, comfort measures, advocacy, and guidance throughout this transformative journey. 🌟

Nominee requirements:
- Due by April 15th 📅
- Resides in Richmond, Chesterfield, Tri Cities, or surrounding areas 🌆
- Dedicated to the doula journey 👶
- Plans to deliver at a hospital, birthing center, or at home with a professional Midwife 🏥
