🐾❤️ In honor of National Dog Day, our residents at Telford Terrace showed some love to our furry friends at the Madison County Animal Shelter

They had a wonderful time baking homemade dog treats for the pups, and together we donated toys, cleaning supplies, food, and cozy blankets to help care for the animals.

Pictured here is Raina, one of the sweet dogs currently available for adoption 🐶✨. We hope she (and all the other pups) find their forever homes soon!

We’re so proud of our residents for giving back and spreading kindness in our community. 🐾💙

🐾 This morning our residents rolled up their sleeves and made homemade dog treats to deliver to the Madison County Animal Shelter in honor of National Dog Day (8/26). Nothing brings more joy than giving back, especially when it’s for our four-legged friends! 🐶✨

🎉 This afternoon we shifted gears to celebrate a very special milestone, Suzy’s 104th birthday! Tomorrow is her big day, but we couldn’t wait to honor her with all her favorite treats: Cheetos, peppermint patties, and ice cream. 🍦🧡 We sang, shared stories, and crowned her with a sash that read “104 & Fabulous.” Her sons joined in the fun and made the day even more meaningful. 💕

What a beautiful reminder that joy comes in many forms, whether it’s a wagging tail or celebrating a life well lived.

Anna joined our Activities Department in February of this year, and in such a short time, she has made a huge impact on the lives of our residents, our department, and our community. 💛

Her kind heart, thoughtfulness, and willingness to help make her shine. Anna is caring, considerate, and has a wonderful way of making everyone feel included. She’s also brought fresh, creative activity ideas that our residents have truly enjoyed!

Anna is the perfect addition to our team, and it’s no surprise that residents, family members, and staff all adore her. 💐

🍪 Sweet Moments in Therapy Group Today! 🍪

Today our residents rolled up their sleeves and got to baking in therapy group — homemade chocolate chip cookies were on the menu! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Not only did the room smell amazing, but the laughter, teamwork, and warm conversations made it even sweeter. Activities like these are a wonderful way to support fine motor skills, memory, and — of course — smiles all around. ❤️

We’re so proud of their hard work (and yes, we definitely taste-tested the results… delicious!).

Outing Highlight! 🚌🍴
We gave our residents a choice: a trip to go bowling or lunch at Cracker Barrel. Without hesitation, every single one of them picked Cracker Barrel! 😄

So off we went for some good ol’ comfort food, rocking chairs, and all the Southern charm. Everyone had a great time, and their bellies (and hearts) were full by the end of the afternoon. 💛

Sometimes, you just can’t beat biscuits and sweet tea with friends!
