Q***rWell is a team of LGBTQ+ therapists focused on the unique mental health needs of our Virginia communities. We offer accessible online counseling services for LGBTQ+ adults utilizing an equity pricing model. At least 50% of our counseling services are offered at our equity pricing rate or below. Our pricing structure is financially supported by the strength of community.

Melissa-Irene Jackson has been a Resident Therapist at Q***rWell from the moment our small LGBTQ+ focused practice was launched. And we've been waiting for the day that we could announce that she has come onboard full time. Today is the day! 🎉

Melissa-Irene has worked in various roles since 2015 with the trans community, and her own transition informs much of her passion for this work. Her clinical education revolved around practice that is trauma-informed; she has presented on trauma-informed practice with regard to LGBT+ populations and intersectionality in a variety of settings. Melissa-Irene believes that effective therapists must position themselves as constant learners who practice in collaboration with you to help meet your needs.

She draws from a variety of theories of practice centered around the premise that speaking our truths out loud to another person is essential for us to grow as human beings.

Big Announcement! 🎉

We are so happy to welcome Dan Cimo and announce that we are now offering couples counseling!!!

As a gay therapist with a special focus on LGBTQ+ mental health and relationships, Dan could not be more thrilled to join the Q***rWell team! He works with couples and individuals. Dan is a proud two-time graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance and a Master of Social Work in Clinical Practice, Dan strives to bridge the art and science of therapy with creativity, passion, and enduring curiosity to best meet the needs of his clients.
