Feeling a mixed bag of emotions right now. But I suppose it was a balanced day. ☯️ Here's what I mean:

We were prepared early, so we weren't scrambling last night or this morning. 😎

We arrived safely and on time. Found a great parking spot too! Got set up in a great spot just inside the door. 🚦

Had some unexpected room on the table for my favorite helper to set up a few of his little things. 🌈 He got to chat for a bit with some similar age group folks. 🗣️

Sold one item. To another vendor. 🥺

One person took a business card. 😟

Welcome (Center) to Virginia! 🗺️

Superb point!

I was a teacher for 20 years. I get it. There are reasons to want to use essential oils in the classroom.

There are germs. Lots of germs. A classroom is basically a breeding ground for all the microbes.

You want your students to stay focused or to keep them calm before the big class party.

Also, let’s face it, kids can smell a little less than desirable once they hit a certain age. I taught middle school. Enough said.

All are valid reasons to use essential oils…

BUT…

1. Some children may have allergic reactions to certain EOs.

2. Some essential oils can induce seizures or asthma attacks.

3. Diffusing essential oils can have opposite reactions than intended. (e.g. Did you know that lavender, which is supposed to be calming, can make ADHD kids hyper?)

4. Essential oils can change emotions and not always in as positive way.

5. Essential oils can conjure up memories. This is especially important for our students who have experienced trauma.

Please *SHARE* with your teacher friends. And parents, don’t be afraid to share this with your children’s teachers if you find out they are diffusing in the classroom. They are probably unaware and would love to know how to keep their students safe!
