Let's encourage each other to support rights for people with disabilities! These rights are under attack! No one should be ousted for something they can't control.

National Voter Registration Day is a holiday celebrated on the fourth Tuesday of every September. It's goal is to focus attention on the importance of registering to vote and voting in our democracy during a single day of on-the-ground and digital efforts lead by government, nonprofits, and business...

As people with disabilities, we struggle to travel along uneven city sidewalks, and often fall over steps without railings. We also feel crosswalk timers are too short for us to cross streets safely. We invite community response and collaboration of ideas on these issues to help us create a safer environment for everyone.

We would like to share a true story. Two wonderful people (who happen to have disabilities) were enjoying a movie together. Once the movie concluded, one held the door open for the other. But as the two were leaving, someone else who had watched the same movie asked why the door was being held open for that "re**rd." Now, imagine how this made the couple feel, especially for the one it was directed towards. Feelings were beyond hurt. This type of hateful and disrespectful behavior still happens, but we can combat it. Be kind to everyone. Let people know that this type of behavior is not acceptable. All it does is hurt. The person who was called a "re**rd" was incredibly sad and angry. Nobody deserves this treatment. Help us promote equality. Everyone should be treated as they would want to be treated.
