What is AFib—and what should you know if you’ve been diagnosed?

Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) is a common type of irregular heartbeat where the heart’s upper chambers quiver instead of beating effectively. Left untreated, it can lead to blood clots, stroke, or even heart failure.

In this in-depth video, Dr. Master explains everything from symptoms and risk factors to diagnosis and treatment options.

He also answers common patient questions from the audience, like:
✅ Hot vs. cold ablation—what’s the difference?
✅ Why start with medication for treatment?
✅ Can sleep apnea or aortic stenosis contribute to AFib?

🎥 Don’t ignore irregular heartbeats. Watch now and feel more confident in your heart health decisions. If you have symptoms or concerns, schedule a visit with VCS for expert heart care.

Dr. Vivak Master, electrophysiologist with Virginia Cardiovascular Specialists reviews the common signs, symptoms of Atrial Fibrillation.
