SURPRISE!!! We have a name change and location expansion in the books!

In 2026, we will be opening a new location in Muncie, Indiana! We will be providing a day service, just like the one you know and love in Richmond, to a new community in need. We have so many exciting things in store for our future, so please stay tuned on what is next with this expansion!

Abilities Indiana, Inc

For the last 16 years of operation, Abilities has served and is still serving over 150 individuals across our state! As you can see, this is a long overdue name change! We are proud of the work our employees do in each different city and county in Indiana, so it was only right for them and our staff here to now represent the community we serve across the state.

Currently we have new mugs with this logo, and more merchandise will be coming soon!

Thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout the years and helped us become what we are today. 💗

Families, guardians, & community members,

At Abilities Richmond, our mission has always been to support and care for the individuals we serve through the good and the bad times. We know that the current government shutdown has created uncertainty and hardship for many families, particularly with the disruption to essential benefits like SNAP food assistance.
In response to these circumstances, Abilities Richmond will waive residential home rent for the month of November for our individuals in our residential homes impacted by the benefit delays. We believe it's important to ease the financial burden during this difficult time and ensure that our residents continue to have the stability and support they deserve.

We also want to support our day service participants and their families who may be facing food insecurity during this time. To help meet this need, we are starting a food pantry at Abilities Richmond. If you are able to donate non-perishable food items, personal care products, or other essentials, we would be deeply grateful. Donations can be dropped off at our building during regular business hours.
We understand that this situation is affecting everyone in different ways, and many in our community are also struggling. If you have nothing to give, please know that we still care for you and are here to help. Our doors are open, and our commitment to supporting you and your loved ones remains at heart.

Tomorrow is the day! Come out and line the sidewalks for our individuals 🎉🫶🏼

Do you want to see our individuals dressed in their best Halloween costumes?! October 31st, starting at 1pm, we will be walking around our block to show off what we got! Our individuals would LOVE if the community could line our route and cheer them on as we go 🎉🎃

We will be meeting underneath the US 27 bridge at 1pm, start walking down E St., going south on 8th St, and then heading to the back of our building on Elm Pl.!

I promise you dont want to miss when we line the sidewalk with laughter, smiles, and maybe just a little sprinkle of spooky 👻🎃
