I am a full time teacher at White Hall Elementary School, but love to get in a great workout anytime I can. And everything's more fun with friends, so join me sometime! My Fitness Background:
In 2006, I began training to be a fitness instructor. After teaching Toning, Step, Kickboxing, Cycling and Boot Camp classes at Transylvania University and EKU, I found Yoga. Yoga felt so natural to me because it incorporates familiar elements of Gymnastics and Dance. At the time, I had completed my Primary Group Fitness Instructor Training through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, as well as initial trainings with YogaFit. In 2008, I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Erin Smith at the Om Place in Winchester, KY. Through the years, I have grown as an instructor thanks to incredible opportunities to connect with a group of fitness professionals, and folks that just enjoy a great workout. I currently teach classes at Fitness with Faith, Bluegrass Bliss Yoga & Bodywork, and privately to a group of hardworking ladies, and will continue to indefinitely as Bloom grows. Class details:
Classes are $5 per participant. In order to keep costs low, participants are asked to supply their own mat, blanket, and water. Classes will be scheduled in 8 week sessions, once a week to groups of 6 people or more. Choosing a location is very important; we can work together to do that. We can use privately owned businesses (after hours), basements (mine or yours), or maybe the largest room in your home (with the furniture pushed to the walls). I look forward to using Bloom Yoga & Fitness in a way that benefits our community. I would love to teach one time specialty classes, or host fundraisers. You can message me for more information. While Bloom only provides Yoga classes now, I hope to expand to Personal Training and Boot Camp style classes in the future. Let me know what you would like to try, and maybe we can work it out!
