We had the honor of welcoming Jack Bales, a survivor of the 1968 downtown explosion, to the Leland today.

Jack spent time sharing what that day was like from his perspective inside the Marting Arms building — a moment that forever changed his life. He spoke about loss, survival, and the lasting impact of that day, including the heartbreaking loss of his best friend.

Thank you to the Historical Society for putting together such a meaningful and powerful presentation. It was a reminder of resilience, community, and the importance of remembering. ♥️

We took a trip to the Joseph Moore Museum at Earlham College today and WOW… what an amazing experience! 🤩

Our group had such a great time exploring, learning, and just enjoying something a little different together. These are the kind of moments that make memories. ❤️
