Who: I am Malikah Karim, a Mom, certified health coach, yoga instructor, stress & anxiety management expert, business owner, and woman’s health advocate. I focus all my love, experience, and passion into women and their families. What gets me excited about this work: Well, as my husband told me recently, "You like to help people but you have a strong bias for helping women." Haha, really can't debate him on that one. I absolutely, love seeing that magical moment when I have gotten a women to follow thru on an experience/goal/thing, and has that moment of being complete surprised and impressed with herself; her look, her smile, her awe---goodness I love it, that moment literally gives me life. I have tools that helped me and many women find a grounded, balanced, happy & healthy version of themselves, and I have no excuse to stop sharing expertise that so profoundly helps others. The journey I guide my clients thru takes work, experience, and sometimes a few tears but always rounds out with tons of smiles and happiness. What ever you may need to navigate to get your Mind & Body healthy I will walk you thru it! My Yoga Teaching Style: I teach alignment focused classes with a fluid Vinyasa flow. My classes are not fast like the average Vinyasa class, but rather focused on allowing breath to lead movement. You will find wisdom from the many yoga lineages in my classes but also a carefulness not to entangle religious yogic rituals or philosophies into my teachings. With a philosophy of gratitude & mindfulness I am able to honor the beliefs of all who seek the extraordinary benefits of yoga so that they may enjoy their yoga practice with peace of mind.
