This week, we’re excited to host our monthly RESI Awards — our “on the spot” recognition program where supervisors celebrate employees for going above and beyond. Each month, we hold a drawing for our winners to receive e-gift cards ranging from $10 to $50. 🎉

Congratulations!!

We’re incredibly proud to announce that Jocellyn Perry, Director of Quality Assurance has successfully completed the Leadership Metro Richmond program!

Leadership Metro Richmond (LMR) is our region’s premier community leadership development organization that has been connecting and preparing diverse leaders since 1980. Through their signature 10-month Leadership Quest program, participants receive formal community leadership training, access to high-impact decision-makers, and valuable networking opportunities, all designed to help leaders create sustainable change and make a positive, lasting impact in the greater Richmond region.

Jocelyn joins over 2,000 diverse leaders who have graduated from this prestigious program. We know she’ll bring the insights, connections, and skills she’s gained back to our team and community.

Way to go, Jocelyn! We can’t wait to see how you’ll use this experience to continue making a difference!

How about this weather?

We recently had the chance to enjoy a kayaking trip with our friends at Beyond Boundaries —and what a day it was! We learned all about kayaking, water safety, and how to get in and out of the kayak. From paddling across the river to basking in the sunshine with good friends, it was the perfect day of fun, nature, and connection.

We're so thankful for community partners like Beyond Boundaries who make inclusive adventures like this possible. These moments go beyond just a day trip—they build confidence, spark friendships, and create unforgettable memories.

A big congratulations to our incredible Social Work interns!

Since August 2024, four amazing students from Virginia Commonwealth University VCU School of Social Work have been part of the Richmond Residential Services team — learning, growing, and making a real impact along the way. Through their internships, they not only gained valuable hands-on experience but also supported our mission of empowering individuals with disabilities to live full and independent lives in the community.

Their compassion, dedication, and eagerness to learn have made a lasting difference for our team and the individuals we serve. We are proud of all they have accomplished and can't wait to see the great things they’ll achieve in their social work careers. Thank you for being part of our story!
