Lili brings over 30 years of experience to inform her teachings. Tai Chi and Qi Gong are moving meditations that bring balance to the mind, body, and spirit. Guided by Liz and Brad, this gentle yet powerful practice uses conscious breathing to quiet the mind, soften the nervous system, and release stored emotion—bringing you back home to your body and heart.

Many of us have been stuck this past week, whether at home or elsewhere due to weather, or maybe just rightfully stuck in our feelings and mutual grief. Reflecting has left us feeling grateful for every opportunity that we are gifted with to uplift each other in community.

Due to recent events, we have been reflecting on how we can best support our Dojo and Theta family, as well as the broader community. We believe that providing a safe space for social support is the most effective way for us to continue to uplift those around us.

The Yoga Dojo and Theta Wellness will be open tomorrow, January 30, to provide you with support should you decide to venture out and visit your favorite yoga teacher, massage therapist, or esthetician. We will donate 20% of sales to the Richmond Community Legal Fund and the Sacred Heart Center. Additionally, proceeds from our donation-based classes held between January 24 through the end of February will be donated directly to these organizations.

Join Holly Zajur Sunday, February 15th 1-5pm for a Creative Wellness Reset, a winter workshop to replenish.

Winter invites us inward. It is the season of reflection, creativity, and replenishment. This workshop is designed to nourish your inner world, and reawaken your creative spirit. This 4-hour experience weaves together movement, meditation, journaling, and pottery to help you reset, replenish, and move through the seasons with intention. You’ll leave feeling grounded, inspired, and connected to an inner well of creativity that supports you in daily life.

What to Expect:

🌀Yoga Asana Practice: We begin with a grounding yoga asana practice designed to warm the body, soften tension, and get creative energy flowing.
🌀Meditate & Create : Following movement, you’ll be guided through a meditation, journaling, and creative practices to reconnect to your wisdom and creative spark.
🌀Clay Play: We will move into a hands-on clay play experience where you’ll create a ceramic piece that symbolizes creative nourishment and intentions. No clay experience is needed. You’ll receive supportive guidance throughout, allowing this to feel playful, meditative, and deeply grounding. Your finished piece will be fired and returned to the studio for pickup within one month. If you need your piece shipped, just let us know (shipping fees apply).

We want to just take a moment to shine light on a member of our community that literally always shows up when we need him without asking. You might have seen him mowing the grass, blowing leaves to clear the entrance, or when he’s brought party hats and banners to class when an instructor has their birthday.

The last two days he showed up TWICE to shovel snow and ice for us so that folks can safely enter and leave the building. If you’ve tried to shovel that last few days, you know how much work this is!

Tom aka “Dojo Dad” doesn’t have social media so chances are he will never see this post, but we still wanted to highlight just how incredibly grateful we are for his presence and friendship.

Our governor has asked that folks stay home Sunday into Monday morning with the anticipation of heavy showers and ice. 🥶

With safety being our top priority always, we’ve cancelled all classes on Sunday into Monday morning. It’s possible other classes may get cancelled into next week. Check your txts, our website under the class schedule tab, and our stories for all updates.

Please join Parham Neal-Pishko, AHC, E-RYT 200, RYT-500 for a deep dive into the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda. Originating in India thousands of years ago, this medicinal practice is a natural and holistic approach to the health of the mind-body-spirit complex. The sister science of yoga, Ayurveda is the quest for longevity so we can fulfill our purpose, desires, prosperity, and ultimately, our liberation.

During our weekend together, we will cover Vedic philosophy, doshas, mudra, mantra, daily and seasonal health routines, herbal pharmaceuticals, and chronic dis-ease through an Ayurvedic lens. Parham has combined her biochemical background with over 300 hours of Ayurveda teachings to specialize in guiding yogis and those seeking equilibrium to an integrated understanding of the body’s unique constitution, imbalances, and how to bring them back in line. This module is a carefully designed toolkit that leads you toward health sovereignty.

You may have noticed a familiar face now teaching classes around the studio! Please help us welcome Rachael Orme to our team of instructors!

Rachael began practicing yoga in 2013, but her yoga journey deepened profoundly after a spinal injury from a car accident. What began as a means of physical recovery, evolved into a journey of inner awareness and understanding that healing truly starts in the mind.

In 2021, she completed her 200hr teacher training at Ashtanga Yoga Charlottesville, developing a more disciplined practice.

When her practice reached a plateau in 2025, she discovered Meridian Yoga and went on to complete advanced YTT with Rose Erin Vaughan. This experience opened a new perspective—one that explores the body through energetic pathways, subtle sensations, and the innate intelligence that guides meaningful transformation.

Rachael continues to study and learn, remaining a dedicated student of both the practice and her own evolving experience. She is committed to sharing the healing power of yoga for the mind and body, guiding students to sync breath with movement, attune to the sensations within, and use the mat as a space to truly know themselves.
