We join the Richmond community in mourning the loss of Bill Martin, the longtime leader of The Valentine in Richmond. Bill was a visionary whose passion for our city's history was infectious. As a lecturer, Bill visited Cedarfield many times, most recently in October 2025. His lectures were dynamic and informative. We will miss his visits and his inspiring love of Richmond's history.

This week's flower arrangement displayed in Town Center was created by residents in his memory.

Cedarfield residents generously volunteered to prepare lunches for guests of The Doorways, and adorned the dining room tables with custom flower arrangements. Some enjoyed a tour to learn more about this vital organization that offers a comforting home away from home for hospital patients and families in Richmond.
