Meet Gwen, one of our experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioners serving patients at Family Health Care Clinic in Richmond and our Berea Walk-In Clinic.

Gwen has been in healthcare for over 25 years, starting in medical billing and coding in 1999 before becoming a nursing assistant, Kentucky Medication Aide, and eventually an RN. She earned her BSN from EKU in 2010 and worked as a Medical-Surgical RN for 10 years before advancing her education to become a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2022 and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2024. She’s also certified in aesthetic services.

“My mother inspired me to become a Nurse Practitioner. I’ve always wanted to work in the medical field, and I love helping people feel better and live healthier lives. If I can make even a small difference, I know I’ve done something meaningful.”

Gwen’s passion for primary care, mental health, prevention, and aesthetics shines through in every patient interaction. She believes in building strong patient relationships, providing evidence-based care, and taking time to understand each person's unique needs.

“I love working in Richmond — it’s been my home for 36 years. This community means everything to me. Helping patients in a place where I truly belong is both an honor and a privilege.”
