We will not meet in December. Our next chapter meeting will be Saturday, Jan. 10 @ 10:30 a.m. at the Beulah Church, 6930 Hopkins Rd, N Chesterfield, VA. Our speaker will be Brittany Howard who heads up the Technology Assistance Program at VDDHH (Virginia Dept for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing).

We will meet at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 8 at the Beulah Church, 6930 Hopkins Rd, N Chesterfield. Our program will be a look at online resources - newsletters, podcasts, websites, etc. - that provide information and support for your hearing loss journey. These are sources over and above smart phone apps which typically provide tools to help you (captioning, sound meters, ASL instruction, etc.).
You’ll learn how to sign up for newsletters from VDDHH or the Hearing Health Foundation, as well as individuals who post helpful tips on social media sites - people like Dr. Michelle Hu, Shari Eberts, Gael Hannum, Dr. Cliff (who has a big presence on YouTube).

We think you’ll enjoy this program, and find it beneficial.

Apologies for our ZOOM link issues at our last meeting, and we are working to resolve them and make it easier for you to join us remotely. Link will be sent next week.

Our next chapter meeting is Saturday, Oct. 11, @ 10:30 a.m. at the Beulah Church, 6930 Hopkins Rd, N Chesterfield, VA. Our speaker will be Thom Casey, a long time audiologist in this area and an HLAA member - speaking on the future of hearing care.

The meeting room is looped, and the program will be captioned. If you cannot attend in person, join us via ZOOM. Email us at info@hlaagreaterrichmond.org for the link.

As an added incentive, bring a friend with you to this meeting or the November meeting and be entered into a drawing for 2 tickets to one of the remaining open captioned theater performances at the Swift Mill Creek Playhouse. Tickets do not include lunch.

We will meet this Saturday, Sept 13, at 10:30 a.m. at the Beulah Church Annex, 6930 Hopkins Rd, N Chesterfield, VA 23234. Our speaker will be Tom Hunt with GN Resound - where he supports hearing healthcare professionals in Virginia and North Carolina. He will talk about the Resound line of hearing aids, and particularly their new models with Auracast capability.
