What an incredible day serving our Richmond community with our partners at Drug Take-Back Day! 💊

From medication safety education to naloxone demos and health screenings, it was inspiring to see how pharmacy students can make a real impact beyond the classroom. We are so grateful for the opportunity to engage in medication safety conversations with the Richmond community and for everyone who helped make this event possible!

On October 11th, our student pharmacists joined the 2025 Central Virginia Heart Walk to support heart health and raise awareness in our community. 🫀❤️

We are honored to walk alongside the Metzger family, who lost their beloved daughter Abby in 2022. She was in her second year of the Doctor of Pharmacy program at VCU, intent on becoming a community pharmacist specializing in cardiology. Abby was always deeply engaged with the VCU community and made a lasting impact through her involvement in our APhA-ASP chapter as Operation Heart Chair. Her legacy continues to inspire us and lives on in the strong community she helped build. 🤍

Happy American Pharmacists Month! 🎊

On October 1st, VCU students and faculty traveled to the APhA Headquarters in Washington, D.C. to celebrate kicking off American Pharmacists Month! This year’s theme, Caring for Our Communities, highlights the unwavering dedication of all the incredible pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and future professionals. Your dedication to serving and uplifting our community does not go unnoticed. ❤️

IPSF PARO is proud to represent pharmacy students and young professionals at the 62nd Directing Council & 77th Session of the Regional Committee of the WHO for the Americas in Washington, D.C.! 🌎✨
This year’s delegation included five VCU students, who contributed statements on high-cost health technologies, noncommunicable diseases, and the International Health Regulations, ensuring that the voice of future pharmacists is heard in regional health policymaking. 💊🤝
Together, we’re advancing conversations on universal health coverage, access to medicines and vaccines, and youth leadership in health diplomacy across the Americas. 🌍💡
