Step 1: call your provider and ask if Medical Nutrition Therapy is covered. If so, how many sessions and is a Dr referral needed.

Step 2: contact Pure Roots to use your HSA/FSA card for a 3, 6, or 12-month plan or request a super bill.

Step 3: if services are not covered, you can choose from a monthly installment nutrition plan or pay upfront (discounted).

You may be eligible for coverage or potential reimbursement using an Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) — especially for conditions like pre-diabetes, cardiovascular risk, or weight-related concerns.

🌱 having spring flowers sprinkled around your home
🌱 a salad with arugula, spinach, beets, fennel, and an herby green goddess dressing
🌱 having a meal outside in the sunshine surrounded by bird song
🌱 going on a brisker walk, a walk with a weighted pack, or maybe a jog
🌱 inviting friends to do something new that week (that’s code for getting out of the house and increasing your energy levels)

If you’re looking for a functional nutritionist — step 1 is to schedule a call and see if working together is the right fit for you. I always encourage my own family and friends to advocate for themselves and assemble their care team. I encourage those seeking a nutritionist to do the same.

Likewise - if I don’t think I’m a great fit to help you with your health goals, I’ll do my best to offer resources or point you to someone else who can. It’s what I’d hope a practitioner would do for me as a patient myself.
