Sis, stop trying to “think” your way out of chronic stress, trauma, and burnout 😩

I know, you’ve read the books.
You’ve done the talk therapy.
You’ve tried to “mindset” your way into feeling better.

But if you still wake up with a tight chest, a clenched jaw, or that constant “on” feeling in your nervous system, it’s because your body is still holding a story your mind has been trying to forget.

On March 28th, I am opening an intimate, safe container in Richmond for just 10 women: Release, Reset, Reclaim.

This is a 6-hour somatic journey designed to move you beyond “talking about it” and into the actual physiological release of stored trauma and stress.

Take a few moments to calm your nervous system with us using the power of the breath - something you always carry with you, and can control at will to adjust your inner experience.

Wtf is nervous system regulation and why is it important to be able to self regulate, you ask??!

Our nervous system is constantly toggling between two modes:

💥Sympathetic (Gas Pedal): High alert, stress, or “Fight or Flight.”

😌Parasympathetic (Brake Pedal): Rest, digestion, and “Social Engagement.”

Regulation doesn’t mean being calm 100% of the time (that’s impossible!). Nervous system regulation means having the flexibility to move back into a state of balance after a stressful event, rather than staying “stuck” in anxiety or burnout.

When you know how to shift your own state, you can

⏳Respond instead of react: You gain a “buffer” between a stressor and your response.

🧠 Clear the mental fog: Stress shuts down the logical part of your brain; breathwork turns it back on.

⚕️Physical Longevity: Lowering your cortisol (stress hormone) levels regularly supports your immune system and heart health.

Too often we come to the decision to change who we are because we don’t like ourselves (whether that be how we look, speak, think, behave, react, the job we do, the family or culture we come from, the quality of life we have, etc - this is an overarching concept).

When the decision to change parts of ourselves or our life is rooted in self hatred, self denial or self abandonment, the change is not sustainable long term.

On the other hand, when we first accept ourselves fully, honestly and completely, any change to ourselves or way of being we decide to make is often rooted in self acceptance at the very least, if not self love, and thus that decision is made in order to better ourselves, the people who depend on us and our community as well as further improve our self perception and inner experience and therefore produces a much more lasting change because the decision was made from a positive (or at least neutral) viewpoint of the self and seen as a foundation to build upon instead of destroy and create something completely opposite the truth of who we are.

Living the “good life” is experienced as a state of mind before it manifests as a state of being.

🥥Feed yourself high vibrational food and water - what you choose to consume today is the only thing your body has to build itself with tomorrow.

📚Feed your mind high vibrational information - the information you choose to allow to come in through your eyes and ears shapes your mindset and decisions which creates your reality.

✨Surround yourself with high vibrational people - create your support system. When you’re not strong, your tribe can shoulder some of the weight and help you rebuild your strength. Do the same for them in their times of need. Recharge each other regularly, not just when a breakdown occurs.

🗣️Affirm : Life is good! (Only always!)

Now that most of us are on a "forced vacation", its the perfect opportunity to get to know yourself on a more profound, meaningful level.

Though many of us would probably rather be back to our normal routines, getting to the bag, able to move and travel freely, lets look at the bright side - we have been afforded the time and space to take better care of ourselves on every level - physical, emotional, mental, energetic and spiritual - that we usually dont have due to our hectic schedules.

Now is the time to dig deep and examine and heal all the parts of yourself you usually ignore or bury to avoid the pain or discomfort associated with actually dealing with it.

Now is the time to do that shadow work (face, accept and heal the dark,ugly,disfunctional parts of yourself & personality). Now is the time to sit with yourself and work on healing those childhood / life traumas you've been suppressing that keep affecting your relationships with self, others, money, and which have generally skewed your outlook on life, people and the world as a whole.

Take the time to sit quietly, tune in to your inner world take a good look at what comes up without judgement and get right within yourself.

This time is a gift. Make the best use of it. This work isnt pretty and it definitely is WORK, but it's certainly worth it.

That face you make you you realize you've been the one standing in your own way creating that stank ass energy you've been complaining about with your self doubt, undue hypercritical thoughts and lack of adequate action🙄

Nothing and no one is perfect.

🗣STOP PUTTING YOURSELF DOWN AND START PUSHING YOURSELF FORWARD!!

Just do your best and keep the forward progression. Done is better than perfect every time & you dont have to be perfect to be great!

You have access to all the resources you need to succeed! Look within, call on the power of you ancestors, your higher power or whatever keeps you encouraged and make them moves baby!

We are born with open hearts, but as we enter into the illusions of life which separate us from the eternal presence of love, we shut our hearts down, afraid of rejection, thinking it's not safe to be open & vulnerable with others. That causes us to lose trust in the goodness of life & find ourselves feeling empty & unhappy. People try to fill that emptiness with s*x, drugs, food & work, but that's a void that cant be filled until we heal the hole in our heart & refill ourself.

It takes time + effort to open your heart & heal. Be willing to look at your ideas about love & see if you can be gentle & kind to yourself as you release any limiting attitudes which limit the amount of love you experience in life.


•HEART OPENING MEDITATION•

Find a comfortable seated position & take a few deep breaths. Let your body relax.

Bring your awareness to your heart center. Feel the quality of the energy that surrounds your heart. Is it heavy? Is it tight? Is it light or soft?

Release tension in your chest & repeat these words to yourself : " I open my heart to love. I choose love. I am love. I am love. I am love. Love is who I am" Allowing your chest to expand with your breath as you continue to speak these words to yourself.

Let your most gentle nature emerge allowing love to flow into your heart. Speak these words aloud : " I love everything about myself. I am my own best friend and I trust in love. I release my pain and forgive the past. I open my heart to rejoice in my being. I open my heart to accept others as they are. I share my love with all who accept it. I accept the love of all who give it. Love is the best thing for me. I am in tune with the love that fills the universe."

Experience the flow of energy moving through your heart & entire body, expanding this feeling to include people you know & care for, continuing to expand this love until you have included the entire planet. See the planet embraces in your arms & know that you are healing the world as you send love out from your heart.

Relax & come to peace with yourself. Realize that you are the source of love in your life.
