It’s a big week for cranberries, and while they do make a delicious side dish, they are not the cure-all for urinary tract infections like many people would have you believe. In the U.S., bladder cancer is the 7th most common cancer overall, and the 3rd most common for men. In 2025, we expect there to be nearly 85,000 new cases diagnosed, with more of those cases impacting men than women. Our providers are able to diagnose and treat bladder cancer, in addition to other urological cancers. As always, if you have uncomfortable urinary symptoms, please do not hesitate to make an appointment to be seen.

Urinary incontinence is the accidental loss of urine, and we primarily see two types: urgency incontinence (inability to hold it long enough to reach the bathroom) and stress incontinence from things like sneezing, laughing, or exercise. Urinary incontinence can affect both men and women, but we have treatments that can help! Ranging from medications and physical therapy to minimally invasive procedures, urinary incontinence doesn’t need to be accepted as a normal part of aging.
