Today, we are remembering Joe Farrell, who played an important role in the creation, development, and success of Sportable's CP Soccer program since 2020.

How can we possibly put into words just how special, giving, and larger than life Joe was? Soccer may have been his life, but giving back to others was his passion. He was a coach, mentor, and friend. He truly believed in the importance of inclusion, belonging, and acceptance. Whether at FutsalRVA or CP soccer, he always created a welcoming environment.

Joe's great care in building opportunities for ALL athletes has touched so many lives. We consider ourselves lucky to have experienced his dedication, leadership, and passion. You will be so missed, Joe. Thank you for your incredible impact on our community. We are sending our condolences to his beautiful family and all of his countless friends.

Happy inaugural ! Thank you to Move United Sport for making this day a reality.

At Sportable, our mission is to create opportunities and transform the lives of individuals with physical disabilities, visual impairments, and those requiring physical accommodations through sport, recreation, health, and wellness.

Adaptive sports do more than open doors. They build community, foster a sense of belonging, and empower athletes to grow while reaching their goals. The impact lasts far beyond the game. We’re proud not only to celebrate today, but to stand with this community and champion the importance of inclusion.

He just wanted one “W.”

At his first wheelchair tennis tournament, that was Wyatt’s goal. He got it.

But the real win? Confidence. Belonging. Growth. That’s what Sportable is all about.
You can help us reach our goal of raising $25,000 by this Friday, May 1, so more athletes like Wyatt get their moment. Help more athletes take that first step. Help more athletes keep going.

🧡 Can you help us create more first wins in these final days? Give by May 1: https://donate.sportable.org/page/Spring2026

It's National Volunteer Week! 🎉

Our volunteers are the backbone of everything we do. Every program. Every event. When they volunteer, they are providing so much more than just their time and expertise. They're a support system. A cheerleader. A friend. A sounding board. They're patient, fun, and inventive.

This week, and every day, we are eternally grateful for every moment our volunteers spend with us. Thank you for all you do to move our mission relentlessly forward 🧡 If a Sportable volunteer has made an impact on your life, let them know below!

WELCOME ABBIE 🥳

We have been lucky to have Abbie with us for a while as part-time program support, but now Abbie is part of the team full-time as our Membership Manager! Abbie is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and can't wait to guide new athletes through our membership intake. Don't worry, Abbie will still be assisting with programs!

Let's give her a BIG congrats 🧡

She just wanted to have fun and find friends. She got both.

Since joining Sportable, Brianna has tried wheelchair basketball, pickleball, and swimming. She found more than sports. She found friendship. But the real win? Connection. Confidence. Belonging. That’s what Sportable is all about.

You can help us reach our goal of raising $25,000 by May 1, so more athletes like Brianna can find their place. Help more athletes try something new. Help more athletes feel like they can reach their highest potential.

🧡 Can you help us create more moments like this? Give today: https://donate.sportable.org/page/Spring2026

Drop some 🧡 in the comments for Harrison, Ryan, Marc, Taylor, David, Kenneth, and Howard!
