Make plans to join us for the 2025 Remembrance Tree Ceremony.

For more than 30 years, this special event has provided a meaningful way to honor loved ones during the holiday season. When you make a donation of any size, we’ll personalize an ornament in memory of your loved one and place it on the Remembrance Tree, or you may do so yourself during the ceremony.

Sunday, December 7, 2025
2:00 p.m.
First Baptist Church, 425 Eastern Bypass, Richmond, KY

The ceremony includes special readings, music, and a time of reflection, followed by refreshments and fellowship.

Early ornament reservation is encouraged! To ensure your loved one(s) name will be read in alphabetical order at the ceremony, we encourage you to reserve your ornaments by Thursday, Dec. 4 using the link below, or by calling us at 859-986-1500.

What a Spook-tacular Morning!

Hospice Care Plus had a blast at the Halloween Trunk or Treat for Seniors at the Berea Senior Citizens Center! This event was all about fun, community, and a little Halloween magic for Madison County seniors.

HCP's Director of Community Engagement, Jenny Niece, was there handing out candy and joining in the festivities. From creative costumes to the delicious chili luncheon fundraiser, it was a perfect way to celebrate the season and support our local senior centers. A big thank-you to the Berea and Richmond Senior Citizen Centers for hosting such a fantastic event. We’re already looking forward to next year!

To learn more about how you can support our work, or get involved as a volunteer, visit hospicecareplus.org or call us at 859-986-1500.

Small Communities doing BIG things!

Back in August, you may recall a post we shared of the Jackson County Off-Roader Association annual benefit ride for hospice. Over 40 vehicles participated, including new event co-hosts, Bighill Jeep Club Inc.!

Last Friday, we were honored to attend their club meeting, thank everyone for the support, and accept a generous donation of $6,000, which will directly support patient care and services across Estill, Jackson, Lee, Madison, Owsley, and Rockcastle counties.

Our heartfelt thanks goes out to all the members of JCORA and the Big Hill Jeep Club for organizing this amazing event and for their continued partnership and support of our mission. We’re also deeply grateful to all the riders who came out and made this event such a success.

On this World Mental Health Day, let’s prioritize care for ourselves and for one another.

Hopeful, Expert, Compassionate Care

We take pride in hopeful, compassionate, expert care that recognizes that life continues even when there is no cure. We work with you, your caregiver, your family, and your doctors to control symptoms at home so you can focus on what matters: what you want life to look like for the next several months. What do you want to do and experience? Where do you want to be? What are you fighting for, working towards, planning for, and how can we help you get there?

Whether you’re part of our hospice or palliative programs, and regardless of whether your care is in your home or at our Compassionate Care Center, our goal is simple: to help you achieve the highest quality of life and to support your caregiver and family. We emphasize dignity, hope, and compassion as we provide specialized medical and team care to manage pain, symptoms, and other challenges.

We work alongside patients and families to make every moment matter. Read more about us at www.hospicecareplus.org, or savor inspiring stories of our patients, families, and staff as they pursue bucket-list wishes together--truly making every moment matter-- at www.hcpblogs.com. Then, contact us: learn about our programs, become a volunteer, apply for employment, give your financial support, or interact with us on Facebook.

We are a non-profit hospice serving Madison, Estill, Jackson, Lee, Owsley and Rockcastle counties. We offer both hospice and palliative care as well as a bereavement program. We also own and operate the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, a short-term inpatient hospice facility for symptom management and respite care.
