Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga where you hold mostly floor-based poses for longer periods of time, usually between 2โ5 minutes, sometimes even up to 8.
Instead of targeting muscles like in more active (yang) styles of yoga, Yin focuses on the bodyโs connective tissues, ligaments, fascia, and joints, by applying gentle, sustained pressure and stretch. This helps improve mobility, especially in areas like the hips, pelvis, and spine.
Itโs also a deeply meditative practice. Because youโre still for so long, you can turn inward, slow your breath, and calm your nervous system. The result is often a mix of physical release and mental clarity, kind of like pressing the โresetโ button for your body and mind.

Meridian Yoga blends yoga postures, breathwork, and mindfulness with the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), specifically the bodyโs meridian lines (energy pathways similar to those used in acupuncture).
The idea is that each meridian corresponds to certain organs and emotional states, and by moving, stretching, and applying gentle pressure along these lines, you help balance the flow of qi (life force energy) through the body.
Itโs a mix of physical release, energy balancing, and mindfulnessโkind of like combining yoga, acupressure, and seasonal wellness all in one.
