Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU is a full-service children's hospital and the first Level 1 pediatric trauma center in the Commonwealth. We provide pediatric inpatient and outpatient care that covers nearly all children's health-related needs - from primary care and emergency medicine to bone marrow transplants and heart surgery. As part of VCU Health, we are committed to ensuring access to care for all children, training future pediatric caregivers and making new discoveries that improve understanding and treatment of childhood diseases. Today we welcome Dr. Sarah Weiss to our CHoR audiology team!
Dr Weiss currently sees both pediatric and adult patients. Her clinical interests include pediatric evaluation and amplification, adult evaluation and amplification, and hearing aids and assistive listening devices.
When not working, Dr. Weiss can be found watching nature documentaries with her two cats, Milo and Meeko, or exploring the James River Park System.

Today we welcome Dr. Osama A Sorour to our CHoR ophthalmology team!
Dr. Sorour's areas of interest include complex vitreoretinal surgeries and specialized care for pediatric intraocular tumors, such as retinoblastoma.
He is the first graduate of a formally dedicated pediatric vitreoretinal surgery fellowship in the U.S., based at Boston Children’s Hospital – Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Sorour is also a former faculty member at Tanta University, Egypt.

Meet Dr. Jon DeAntonio, a pediatric surgeon with a wide range of expertise – from the common to the complex. He cares for kids with all types of surgical needs, from hernia repair and digestive malformations to adolescent bariatric surgery and colorectal surgery. Getting his patients back to their normal activities as quickly as possible, as well as making sure parents’ and caregivers’ questions are answered are his favorite parts of his job.
