What a great day at Embrace! Our group of mamas with January due dates came back for their reunion (show and tell day!) today. We’re endlessly impressed by our mamas and are so grateful to get to be a part of this beautiful journey. So much love to this sweet group of baddies and their babies!

Spring is on our minds here at Embrace, the leaves are popping out, the birds have returned and the flowers are starting to bloom. We are looking forward to all the spring babies !

The early postpartum days can be exciting, and exhausting. How did you navigate well meaning visitors and family members when you needed rest?

Visitors often mean well, but they can quickly become overwhelming in the early days. As you and your baby recover and learn to feed together, extra company can make it harder to notice cues and find your rhythm.
It’s okay to wait on visitors until you feel more settled, and it’s okay to set boundaries around who visits, when, and for how long.

Did you set rules for visitors in those early days? If so, what did you find most helpful in balancing the desire of others to help and your need for space?

We had a great turnout yesterday at our Open House. Thanks to our incredible staff who support our families. We had such a great time visiting with other midwives, doulas, nurses, families and our babies.
