We're facing a severe blood shortage — our national blood supply has fallen by 35% over the past month. During a blood shortage, doctors may face difficult choices about which patients receive blood transfusions and who will need to wait.

We are in urgent need of donors to help patients who are counting on lifesaving blood following accidents, during surgeries, and for treatment of conditions such as sickle cell disease and cancer.

Help us beat the current shortage by scheduling an appointment to give blood or platelets: https://rdcrss.org/3LRmvrU

Personal revelation and guidance from the Holy Ghost are crucial in our journey to know Jesus Christ and live His gospel.

We have been urged by one of God's prophets to increase our spiritual capacity to receive personal revelation. By doing so, we can navigate life's challenges, avoid the adversary's traps, and draw closer to Jesus Christ. The Holy Ghost protects, preserves, provides peace, and prepares us for the future. Staying attuned to the Spirit helps us recognize and respond to divine guidance, ensuring that we remain on the covenant path. The Holy Ghost reveals Jesus Christ to us and helps us understand His will, making our relationship with the Savior more personal and profound. Through the Holy Ghost, we receive the direction and reassurance we need to stay true to our covenants and to follow Jesus Christ faithfully so we can return to the presence of our Heavenly Father.

How has your relationship with the Savior helped you stay true to covenants?

Serve Virginia and Youth Service America invite you to participate in a "New Era of Youth Service in America" Virginia Statewide Partner Forum on January 20. As we look forward to America’s Semiquincentennial in 2026, we know that only 1 in 4 young people regularly participate in their communities. That means 64 million young Americans are left out of participating in our democracy. To better support the thousands of local organizations working to engage more young people in volunteering & service, voting & civic engagement, and joining & leadership. We invite you, members of your team, and youth leaders representing your organization to join us for these important discussions.

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting President Bonnie H. Cordon as the keynote speaker for our Stake Relief Society activity at the end of this month. Sister Cordon is currently the President of Southern Virginia University. Previously she served as President in the General YW Presidency and first counselor in the General Primary Presidency of the church. We are very blessed to have her share her time and testimony with us. We are also excited that sisters from the Mechanicsville Stake will be joining us.

This event will take place on Saturday, January 31st at 10:00 am at the Pump Road building. We will meet in the chapel to hear President Cordon speak, followed by brunch and a simple service activity in the cultural hall.

Watch together with your youth group. As you listen, notice the ways the Savior is inviting you to walk with Him in your life—then talk as a group about what you each want that walk to look like in 2026.

The devotional will be available in over 30 languages on broadcasts.ChurchofJesusChrist.org so youth everywhere can participate. Click this link for more information: https://newsroom.churchofjesuschrist.org/event/walk-with-me-worldwide-discussion-for-youth

"And our new beginning doesn’t just happen once. We tend to think that our baptism is our one shot at a new beginning. It isn’t. We don’t have just one chance. These new beginnings can happen every day! And certainly every week as we eat a small piece of bread and drink a tiny cup of water in remembrance of the gift of our perfect Saviour, who died for the express purpose of giving us as many new beginnings as we need! Jesus gives us as many new beginnings as we need."

— Elder Patrick Kearon, general conference, Oct. 2025
