It's National Volunteer Week, and wouldn't ya know it, we need volunteers!

We have FOUR incredible programs that need additional volunteers. Can you help?

🏊️ Aquatics: Wednesdays through May 27 | 5:15 - 7:15 PM | Sheltering Arms Bon Air. Assist athletes 1:1 to help them reach their goals, help with athlete transfers, and set up equipment.
🏹 Archery: Tuesdays through May 26 and Wednesdays through May 27| 3:45 - 6:15 PM | Rockwood Nature Center. Assist with equipment setup and breakdown, as well as knocking and retrieving arrows.
🚣 Kayaking: Tuesdays, May 5 at Dutch Gap | May 19 at Deep Bottom Park | 5:00-8:00 PM. Assist with equipment management, loading, and with athletes in the water.
🚴 Rec Cycling: Tuesdays, May 5-June 16 | 5:30-8:00 PM | Dorey Park.
Assist by riding alongside athletes.

MORE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!

The Richmond Stake is supporting Habitat for Humanity 40th anniversary of helping low-income families in RVA have a safe place to call home. Our YSAs are trying to do a build day on Saturday, May 2nd, but we need 10 more volunteers to make it possible. We know it’s last minute, but if you’d like to have an awesome experience that changes lives, please sign up by this Thursday the 23rd.

We are excited to invite the women of the Richmond and Mechanicsville stakes to join together for a local broadcast of the Northeast Area Women's Conference on Saturday, May 30th from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm at the Pump Road building.

The day will consist of a variety of activities:

Broadcast sessions from the NYC site - keynote speakers, panel discussions, and music. Please click link for additional details.

Service project - making paper flowers for hospital patients

Food drive - St. Thomas Food & Wellness Pantry (see attached flyer for requested items) - in support of the General Relief Society's global initiative to care for women and children

Art display - submissions from members of our stakes based on the theme “Covenant Women Following Jesus and Spreading Their Influence for Good." All creative expressions—from fine arts and photography to handcrafted textiles and woodwork—are welcome. We would love for you to share your creative talents and have extended the submission deadline to May 15, 2026.
