Today we were honored to welcome our 2025–2026 Cristo Rey student to the Bliley’s team! From the moment she arrived, she brought an eagerness to learn and a genuine spirit of compassion. On her very first day, she demonstrated The Bliley’s Way.

On National Charity Day, we’re reminded of the power of giving back. Bliley’s is proud to support Wreaths Across America, an organization dedicated to remembering our fallen heroes.

Each December, volunteers place wreaths on veterans’ graves across the nation, ensuring their legacy lives on. Bliley’s is honored to play a part in this mission of remembrance and gratitude at our local veterans' cemetery, Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia. We invite our community to consider donating a wreath or their time through the link below.

Grief is one of life’s hardest teachers. In the moments when no words, no gestures, and no comforts seem to ease the weight of loss, this quote reminds us that grief itself has the power to transform us. Though painful, grief can open our hearts and deepen our compassion.

At Bliley's, we honor not only the lives of those who have passed, but also the journey of those who mourn. May your grief, though heavy, lead you toward gentleness—with yourself, with others, and with the memory of your loved one.

There is no “right” way to grieve, and no timeline that you need to follow. Whether your grief is fresh or decades old, your feelings are valid.

Due to increased community need, we are adding a special summer session of our Su***de Loss Group, beginning May 14th. This eight week adult support group will run for eight consecutive sessions on Wednesday evenings, concluding on July 2. 💙

My grief is like the weather. Somedays it’s calm, quiet, maybe even a little sunny. Other days it’s a devastating storm that makes me feel angry, exhausted, raw, and empty. I wake up in the morning and wonder – "Am I even alive at all? And if so, how am I supposed to make it through this day?"
