Welcome to Wellness!
Good evening everyone,
As this day comes to an end, let us continue to honor Dr. King for the immeasurable contributions he made to this country. Find some small way you can honor him in your everyday life-with the people you engage with-on a daily basis.
It is his shoulders and others who came before us that we stand on. We owe a debt to them to keep moving forward.
I want to leave you with this passage and a few of Dr. King's quotes that are inspirational and still very relevant today.
Dr. King believed that justice delayed was justice denied, and that equality was not a privilege but a right. These quotes reflect his unwavering commitment to civil rights and human dignity.
• “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” — Martin Luther King Jr.
• “I have the audacity to believe that peoples everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies, education and culture for their minds, and dignity, equality, and freedom for their spirits.” — Martin Luther King Jr.
• “Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed.” — Martin Luther King Jr.
