✍️A Collaboration, A Lasting Gift: A Hospice Music Therapy Story🎵

This week, we're highlighting a memorable connection between Jim and Baylee, and their song, "Beyond," they wrote together. Visits with Baylee became something Jim looked forward to. Their creative sessions were filled with meaning and lightness. Jim mentions, “The most important thing is to have fun when you’re making music together, right? That’s it. Have fun.”

The song was created for all those who believe there is still something… beyond.

This past Friday, RVNAhealth held May’s Coffee & Conversation at the Bethel Public Library with Cindy, a seasoned geriatric care manager and social worker.

Several key points our audience brought up at this discussion were how one might navigate their insurance coverage for future services, and what resources there are to help the transition from home to assisted living centers. Cindy also discussed when one might begin searching for additional assistance, such as caregiver support groups, in lieu of starting conversations with loved ones and families.

Whether you’re curious about resources, planning ahead, or simply want to talk things through, RVNAhealth would like to hold a space for you to ask questions, gain support, and feel genuinely heard.

Our next Coffee & Conversation will be on June 2, 10:30 – 11:30am, at the Washington Senior Center in Washington Depot, CT. Please head over to rvnahealth.org/calendar to learn more.

This Memorial Day, RVNAhealth joins our Ridgefield community in honoring the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

As our visiting nurses once proudly walked in 1942 Ridgefield Parade, we remember that service comes in many forms — from those who protect our freedom to those who care for our health and well-being.

We’re grateful to stand alongside our neighbors today—and every day—in remembrance, unity, and hope.
