πŸ–€πŸ€°πŸΎ Black Maternal Health Week | April 11–17

In the U.S., Black women are over three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than White women. More than 80% of pregnancy-related deaths are preventable. Black Maternal Health Week is a time to raise awareness and promote the urgent need for improved systems of equitable care and support.

Maternal health is shaped by many factors, including:
β€’ Access to timely, high-quality prenatal and postpartum care
β€’ Differences in treatment within healthcare settings
β€’ Chronic stress linked to systemic inequities
β€’ Social and economic conditions that impact health

Join us in recognizing these disparities and working together to create equitable, respectful care that leads to healthier outcomes for all mothers and babies.
