Rojo the Llama

Sadly, Rojo passed away from cancer on Nov. 6th, 2019, but his legacy lives on!

Rojo the Llama completed over 2000 off the farm therapy visits and special events and still holds the record as the most decorated and loved.Therapy Llama in the World.

Happy (just barely on time) birthday to the OG LLAMA MAMA! 🎉🦙💛

Pushing it to the end of the day here, but the love and appreciation couldn’t be bigger. Thank you for being the woman who started it all—from the first halter to the first carrot kiss, you built something that’s brought so much joy, comfort, and laughter to our community.

Cheers to you, mom! I hope you know what a difference you’ve made and the legacy you’ve already begun.

We’re honored to be featured in a two-page spread in this month's Women’s World Magazine! It’s been such a fun and unexpected adventure since our very first visit to and it’s meant so much to see how warmly people have embraced our therapy boys in this fun way.

Media coverage was never something we set out to pursue, but getting to share the joy these animals bring—whether in schools, senior communities, or at the airport—has become a natural and meaningful extension of the work we love.

The Portland International Airport was bustling with summer travelers yesterday for our second Summer Fun Day visit! Beni and Panda were more than happy to provide plenty of stress reduction for everyone needing a hug and a smile 🥰

What a glorious day for the Portland Rose Festival Alaska Airlines Grand Floral Parade! We are so very thankful for all of our amazing Volunteer Ambassadors who were willing to get up before daylight to represent Mtn Peaks Therapy Llamas & Alpacas in our biggest event of the year! Llamas from our farm have strutted in this prestigious Portland Oregon parade every year for over 20 years!

The Portland Rose Festival Fred Meyer Junior Parade was just as magical as ever! The kids did a fabulous job walking Crown Prince, Beni, Capt'n Jack and Chachi, and we all had an amazing time with Providence Child Center kids, Royal Rosarians, The Clown Prince and his Clown Corps, Disney characters, and many others who were in the parade!
