A Fond Farewell and A Warm Welcome!

⭐️ Changes at The Arbor, The Orchard's Home to Our Skilled Nursing Residents ⭐️

After 32 remarkable years of service, we bid a heartfelt farewell to Dianne Bates, our longtime Nursing Home Administrator. Dianne’s leadership, compassion, and unwavering dedication have left a lasting impact on our community. She has touched the lives of countless residents, families, and staff, creating a legacy of excellence and care. We are deeply grateful for her decades of service and wish her every happiness as she embarks on this next chapter of life.

Welcome Back, Caronda!

We are delighted to extend a warm welcome back to Caronda Trigg, who has returned to The Orchard as our new Licensed Nursing Home Administrator at The Arbor.

Caronda is no stranger to our community—many will remember her from her time as Memory Care Director at The Rose Garden. Since then, she has expanded her leadership experience, serving as Licensed Nursing Home Administrator at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Jackson, MS. With more than 14 years of compassionate healthcare experience, she brings a wealth of knowledge, a steady leadership presence, and a heartfelt passion for serving seniors.

Her dedication to quality, person-centered care and her ability to foster meaningful connections make her a wonderful fit for our Arbor family.

On National Senior Citizens Day, we would like to extend heartfelt appreciation to our fantastic seniors. It is always a pleasure to celebrate this special day with our wonderful residents. We would like to express our gratitude for the love and support you give us. The Orchard would not be the same without every last one of you! Also, thank you to WLBT for featuring us on another great segment, represented by our Community Relations Director, Sandra Strain.

Music provides numerous health benefits for elderly people, impacting their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The morning began with a ceremonial flag-raising event. The flag, previously flown at the United States capital in Washington, D.C., was obtained through the dedication of one of our well respected residents, Mr. Beck, and now flies proudly at The Orchard. We are honored to display this symbol of our freedom on our flagpole. The Orchard's residents, known for their kindness, make our community exceptional. We express our sincerest gratitude to Tyler Collins for generously sharing his vocal talents with us. Thank you so much Congressman Michael Guest and his wonderful team for making this happen. This day was truly unforgettable for everyone and one we will never forget.

Matilda Velarde Barnett, a Madrid native, has consistently expressed her affection for visiting family in Mississippi. Following her graduation from International College in Spain, she will pursue biochemistry studies at the University of Bath in England. Matilda Velarde Barnett is a very talented young lady with multiple exceptional qualities. She has been playing the clarinet and piano since the age of 6. We appreciate Matilda's performance for our residents and acknowledge the delight it brought to them. Her piano performance was sheer joy to our residents. A very proud family member was present, beaming with pride, creating a heartwarming moment for everyone.

Thank you Matilda for being with us and we wish you all the best life has to offer. Please come back soon!
