Emptying the Vessel is perfect imagery for the gentle, hands-on Art of Jin Shin. Adele Leas, longtime Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner & instructor, sums it up simply as well, “We are never in disharmony or affected by disease because of what we lack, but what we have not let go of.”
Harmony is our natural state of being. We grow in harmony as we release and empty the pain and burdens we have accumulated along the way. Therefore, in Jin Shin we honor the cycle of the breath as beginning with the Exhale.
We begin with the ‘36 Conscious Breaths’. To restore balance anytime, exhale deeply and allow the new breath to enter us naturally. It is only in this emptying first that we can receive.
~Exhale worry, physical tension & FEAR. Down the Front.
~Receive each breath with gratitude. Up the Back.
Breathing through the nose, start with counting your Exhalations.
Count 36 or 4 sets of 9.
Why 36? 3+6 is 9. 9 is the ending of a cycle & a new beginning.
As Mary Burmeister said: “In this breath, I am One of a kind. There can be no competing, comparing, judging, labeling, or being judged.”
Emptying the Vessel of the pain, suffering, sadness, fear, resentments, we have accumulated along the way and of today, we create space for the free flowing energy of Abundant Joy, Creativity and Bliss already with us.
Empty our Vessel daily with the 36 Conscious Breaths. Drop the shoulders. Be the smile.
The 36 Conscious Breaths, Jin Shin self-help and receiving from a Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner balances and empties our vessel to live in Harmony with ourselves and others. ✋❤️🤚
