It’s taken a little longer than I anticipated to register and start this course but I know everything happens as it should! Since I had my first QHHT session in January 2023, I’ve known how impactful past life regression can be. For the last year or so, I’ve felt very strongly that my path is to work with people who want and need to heal past life trauma. As a trauma therapist working primarily with neurodivergent clients, () I’ve seen first-hand how life changing processing and healing trauma can be. Yet there is no straightforward path for people to turn to when the trauma that is unprocessed comes from a prior lifetime. One day soon I will do a Storytime reel about my QHHT experience. Perhaps because I have the trauma and grief of the past life I saw lingered for long after the QHHT session. I could have followed up with the person who did it, but I felt paralyzed. I wasn’t sure that talking to her about it would help. I was in traditional therapy already but I was afraid to bring it up with my counselor because I didn’t know if she would be affirming of belief in past lives. I was afraid she would think I was unstable. So I sat with it alone. Eventually, it no longer bothered me on a daily basis but I still get teary when I think or talk about it. From talking to others, I know that healing past life trauma is something that many are seeking but unsure of where to look. This is the first step in being able to help people heal the wounds that we carry with us through multiple lifetimes!

This lemon blueberry protein bread is giving me LIFE yall! I love having protein muffins for the week but I hate cleaning the silicone muffin cups. It occurred to me about a month ago that I could just use the same recipe and dump the batter into a bread pan and voila! Way less cleanup. When you have meal prep has to be work smart not hard or it just doesn’t get done. Depending on how thick the slice is, this has either 1/2 serving or 1 serving of protein powder and you really can’t tell. This is a protein muffin recipe I found on Pinterest and have modified until it works best for me:
1 cup Kodiak buttermilk pancake mix
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda (omit for bread but helps muffins rise)
6 scoops Quest protein powder
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce (simple truth organic individual applesauce cups are 1/2 cup!)
1/2 cup plain unsweetened greek yogurt (I had Fage 2% so that’s what I used)
1 egg or 1 flax egg
2 Tbsp butter or margarine melted (I use soy free Earth balance)
1/2 cup to 1 cup milk of choice. Some add-ins require less milk so just add enough to get the right consistency.

Then add in whatever you want. For this one I used 1/4 cup lemon juice and 1/2 cup blueberries. I used vanilla Quest. Sometimes I use chocolate or peanut butter Quest and 1/4 or 1/3 cup Lillys chocolate chips. I’ve made it with raspberries, cherries, you’re really only limited by your imagination! It’s so versatile and hard to screw up.

Bake at 375 for 35 min if bread and about 20 min for muffins.

Nutrition as I prepared them:
1 loaf cut into 12 servings
122 cal
15g protein
9.2g carbs
1.65g fiber
2.82g sugar

I need some practice doing reiki with animals! Distance reiki works for animals the same way it works for people. If your pet is feeling stress because of life transitions, relocating to a new home, adjusting to a new pet, or grieving a loss of some kind or if they are slowing down with age, have physical illness, or if you'd generally just like them to have a little extra love - reiki can help. Just comment or send me a private message with your pet's name, what type of animal they are, and a little bit about what's going on (optional!) and I will send them some reiki. I am also trained in Soul Level Animal Communication, send me a private message if you are interested in that.

New on the Substack - I Feel Like a Sell-out for Taking a GLP-1.
"As I tried various things to keep my stomach from gleefully dumping partially digested food into my small intestine, with little success, I remembered Tirzepatide. GLP-1s slow digestion, that’s the reason that people who take them feel full for longer, which reduces their appetite. I thought about asking my nurse practitioner about it when I had my follow up and then I felt guilty. I’ve spoken out publicly about my concerns regarding the lack of long term data on people, especially women, without diabetes using GLP-1s and that is still concerning to me..."

This is a repost from my Stacey's Thoughts Substack but it felt like it really belonged here with Kaya Holistic Wellness content as well. Apologies for anyone that subscribes to both!

As a person who has spent decades working on body neutrality; a body-neutral holistic health coach in training; and an outspoken critic of Ozempic, I feel like a traitor for this decision.

Sure, you can make fancy protein coffees but have you ever just dumped half a scoop of Salted Caramel and half a scoop of Quest chocolate milkshake into a blender bottle with 6 ounces of almond milk and topped it off with your regular drip coffee? Protein turtle latte in less than 1 minute. 💪🏼 I added half a scoop of creatine since this is my post-weight lifting shake. Since I always listen to Currents when I lift weights, here’s the last song I was listening to before my workout ended. I highly recommend that whole album.

My oldest dog was having some tummy issues so I bought canned pumpkin for her. She ended up going to the vet and getting some prescription food so I decided to use one of the cans of pumpkin to do a variation on the popular pumpkin fluff/mouse/dip recipe. Just mixed a can of organic 100% pumpkin with one cup of Fage 2% Greek yogurt, 1 small package of French vanilla pudding mix, some vanilla liquid stevia & pumpkin pie spice to taste. Crushed up 2 gingersnap cookies on top which does add sugar but I think the crunch is necessary! Chopped pumpkin seeds would be good for those who want no added sugar. You could also add protein and reduce fat by using Chobani zero vanilla instead of Fage. I’m thinking I may try it again with vanilla milkshake Quest to up the protein but remember not every snack needs to be high protein!! I made it 4 servings, the pic is 1 serving. The nutrition with two gingersnaps is:
181 cal
7g protein
28g carbs
4g fiber

I tried Pumpkin Protein for the first time today. Pretty good! I’ve been having some histamine reactions to the ingredients in my lunch smoothie so I had to make a switch away from pea protein. I’ve been using the same vegan protein powder for 10+ years. I really didn’t want to use whey because it’s fine with milk or water but most I’ve tried are way too sweet for me when fruit is also involved. When mentioned this protein in his “What I eat in a day to build muscle” video I was intrigued. I used to eat raw pepitas (pumpkin seeds) in yogurt with fruit every morning for breakfast at my first job after undergrad, so I know I like them in general. It was slightly more chalky than my previous one but I am definitely going to keep using it! Swapping pea protein, reducing spinach, and not using strawberries seems to be the key to not overloading high histamine ingredients which is great because I don’t like feeling like I’m coming down with the flu for an hour after lunch!

I was so surprised and excited when this book arrived in the mail! Thanks for the free book zeitgeist publishing! The timing couldn’t be more perfect because I just bought myself a crystal healing journal! (It is not affiliated with the book, just a coincidence.) I love crystals and I also love learning more about them so I cannot wait to read this. It’s such a beautiful hardback too 😍 I just had to feature my new crystals in this photo too. Generally, I would not buy crystals from a stranger on Reddit but I couldn’t pass up getting some more affordable pieces from selling off an incredible collection. The pink samadhi quartz is truly special. I normally buy crystals only for metaphysical benefits/properties and these 3 are the first I’ve bought simply for beauty.

I'm very excited to begin the Soul Level Animal Communication course with Danielle MacKinnon in 2025! While I love working with people, animals have always been my favorite "people." I hope that this will be the first step in helping those that love their animals as much as I love mine to connect with them even more! Over the years, I have had the pleasure of living with not only my own dogs and cats but also fostering dogs and even keeping a close friend's dog and cat for several months while she traveled for work.

Comment below and share a photo of your pets and beloved animals. I will share some of mine in the comments too!

The power of the primordial (primal) scream, my latest blog post!
"I struggled with one assignment: “scream once a day, for 3 days straight.” There was a time in my life when I could have easily screamed every day for 365 days straight, but I am not particularly angry anymore. It’s been a long time since I was. It felt silly, how do I make myself scream when I don’t feel angry or upset? So I didn’t do it."

Latest blog post is up! If you've ever wondered what it's like to be trained in reiki, or just want to know more about what reiki even is, this is the post for you. I share how I first experienced reiki for myself.

Training in reiki level 1 and level 2   In July and August 2024, I had the opportunity to take Usui Reiki training with Reiki 4 Life.

Very grateful for these furry pig slippers on the first truly cold morning (43 degrees F) of the fall! Of course I don’t wear shoes because: 1. I work from home in a shed office in my back yard and 2. Eyww, shoes, who wants to wear shoes?!? Any office job where I have had my own office, I’ve worn slip on shoes where I could kick them off under the desk 🫣
